At The Wellness Fix, we focus on identifying the root cause of symptoms and supporting healing at a foundational level — so health becomes sustainable, not something you’re constantly managing.
We do this by combining functional medicine testing to identify what’s driving imbalance beneath the surface, with an integrative, holistic approach that includes personalised nutrition, targeted supplementation, natural medicine, lifestyle strategies, and behaviour change.
Our work is grounded in functional medicine principles and systems-based thinking. Instead of relying on trial-and-error or symptom-based protocols, we use targeted testing and clinical reasoning to understand why the body is struggling in the first place.
Our core clinical focus is gut health, because the gut plays a central role in digestion, immunity, inflammation, hormone regulation, energy production, skin health, mood, and metabolic function. When the gut is compromised, symptoms often appear across multiple systems. When it is properly supported, the body has a far greater capacity to regulate, repair, and recover.
This work is structured, evidence-led, and clinically grounded.
The goal is not short-term relief.
It is clarity, direction, and lasting change — by addressing the root cause.

100's
For years, I lived with bloating, discomfort, unpredictable digestion, fatigue, and reactions to foods that were supposed to be “healthy.” I tried elimination diets, low-FODMAP approaches, food journaling, and cutting out gluten, dairy, and sugar. Some days I felt okay; other days symptoms appeared out of nowhere.
The physical symptoms were challenging — but the mental and emotional toll of not knowing why I felt the way I did, or how to fix it, was exhausting.
Eventually, I began to accept that maybe this was just my normal.
Until my body forced me to listen.
Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma of the cervix. Due to its rarity, there was no established treatment pathway available in New Zealand. There was no clear prognosis, no standard protocol, and no roadmap to follow.
I was required to seek care overseas, where even then survival statistics were low and outcomes uncertain.
Alongside years of intensive treatment — chemotherapy, radiation, brachytherapy, multiple surgeries, recurrence, and more than 30 medical procedures — I began a parallel mission: to understand the body, disease processes, and what truly supports healing.
I survived cancer — but I was unaware of the damage the treatment would leave behind.
I couldn’t eat without pain.
Even nutrient-dense foods caused severe bloating, gas, diarrhoea, and inflammation.
I lived with chronic fatigue.
My digestion was severely compromised.
My hormones collapsed into early menopause.
My kidneys were damaged, leaving me with stage-three kidney disease and long-term electrolyte imbalances.
I experienced chronic UTIs, leading to more than 50 courses of antibiotics.
Every system in my body had been affected.
This is the part many people don’t see:
Surviving treatment does not mean the body is well.
I was alive — but barely functioning. Living in survival mode.
And like many clients I now work with, I was told:
“There’s nothing more we can do. You’ll just have to manage it.”
I was exhausted from guessing.
That’s when I discovered functional medicine and advanced testing — and for the first time, things made sense.
Rather than trying to tackle every symptom or body system in isolation, I finally had answers. Testing revealed:
• Missing key beneficial gut bacteria
• Low stomach acid affecting digestion and nutrient absorption
• Insufficient digestive enzymes
• Immune dysfunction
• Impaired detoxification pathways
• Intestinal permeability (“leaky gut”) driving systemic inflammation
• Bacterial overgrowth contributing to bloating and pain
• Hidden infections and parasites overwhelming a weakened gut barrier
• Yeast overgrowth further disrupting balance
Once I had data, I could finally address the root cause — not just manage symptoms.
As my gut healed, everything else began to come back into balance.
That moment changed how I understood health forever.

Today, I combine over a decade of research and personal application with more than five years of professional experience in health education, research, and client care.
I work with people who have “tried everything” — the diets, the supplements, the specialists — and are still left asking, “Why do I feel like this?”
People with bloating, IBS, fatigue, skin issues, food fear, weight resistance, inflammation, and unexplained symptoms — who know something isn’t right, even when tests say otherwise.
My role is not to override the body.
It is to translate what it is communicating.
Using functional medicine testing, personalised nutrition, targeted supplementation, lifestyle strategies, and behaviour change support, I help clients identify the root causes of imbalance and apply clear, structured interventions to repair and rebalance the gut and restore system-wide function.
Clients are not just given information — they are supported in turning insight into action.

The Wellness Fix is not about fixing people. It is about fixing the approach to health.
Testing, not guessing
Identifying root causes
Prevention over crisis management
Clinical reasoning informed by lived experience
Clear guidance instead of overwhelm
Ongoing support, not one off plans

To recognise early signs of imbalance.
To stop guessing and start addressing the real drivers of dysfunction.
To rebuild health from the gut outward.
And to create an internal environment where the body feels safe enough to heal.
Because I’ve lived what happens when symptoms are ignored —
and what becomes possible when the right support is finally in place.
